Okay, One More Thing...
July 9, 2006
A Kid A quote. I'm telling you, this kid is three going on fourteen. He's hilarious, all his little gestures and the constant commentary.
We're staying at a church right now (more about that later) and he was playing foozball, which is a big hit since we have a foozball table at the Land. For some reason or other, he put a toy duck on the table and started playing with it instead of the ball. As soon as one of the little soccer player guys kicked the pseudo-ball with his lumpy plastic feet, Kid A slapped his forehead and said,
"Oh my GOSH! I totally foozed the duck."
That, I'm pretty sure, is slang in the making.

I missed you soo much. I think I've been in withdrawal I've missed you so badly. I"m so glad you have returned to the internet. YOu being back is perhaps the best thing about my week so far.
I have totally been left at the side of the road, but not by my husband, by my father, when I was 10 and he didn't notice me fall out of the car when the door swung open and drag for a while holding on to the handle before I let go.
I should tell that story.
OK, I so totally want to borrow that quote. "I totally foozed the duck." That is definitely slang in the making and I will help it spread. That is great!
That's hilarious, and so adorable! My husband and I have been known to make up words and use them in conversation, just to see if people ask what they meen. Saying we've "foozed" something would work very well for that. Our favorite made-up word is "pacred" (pronounced like "sacred"). In case you'd like to exchange new slang. ;-)
