Rae is Celebrity-blogging?

The other night I went out with some old friends to Hapa Izakaya, a Japanese restaurant on Robson in Vancouver.  Across the room we saw Daniel Dae Kim, a Lost cast member.  He was enjoying his dinner.  We didn't bother him, neither were we tempted.

I don't watch, so it meant almost nothing to me, but maybe you know him?

hi rae, i just realized yesterday i had skipped adding you in my bloglines, imagine my surprise to come here to read about the move and all the other happenings. it sounds so exciting and so scary too. what a leap. i wanted to ask if you still live near arcata, both of my sisters are there...small world. email me if you prefer, just wondering where you are in the woods.

Nope, don't know him. However, I work at a university tv station where we videotape scientists and doctors, etc. For me, a celebrity sighting goes something like this: "Oh look! Isn't that doctor Ramachandran who gave the lecture on Neurology and the Passion for Art?!"

It's funny how people can be famous, but not famous, if you know what I mean.

(BTW, if you're interested in the lecture, you can watch it on Google: http://video.google.com/videosearch?q=owner:uctv+%225224%22)

Jin (his character) ROCKS! My husband and I are Losties. What dorks we are...

I would have bothered him. Poor Daniel Dae Kim.

I love it that you're a Lostie, (Losty?) Gretchen.

And it's true, people can be SO famous in certain circles, yet not at all known by the general public. Thanks for the link.

I think that's pretty cool, I saw this lady once, and I could have sworn it was the woman who plays his wife on the show, so I was totally staring at her, and then realized it wasn't her. I felt like a dork.
