Remember?

After I took the shot, I wished I had told him to stuff the mask in his pocket or something.

But looking at this photo, I thought, it’s probably good that he’s holding it. We’ll look back at this and say, oh yeah, remember that?

We went through a pandemic together, in the north of Thailand, in the mountains, with three teenagers, one near-teen, and a little boy all in the house. All in the house every day.
And Solomon was there, he was riding and singing. He never stopped dancing. He held his mask that day when I took a photo, let it dangle from his hand. The world was full of light.
I remember it well, we’ll say.
It is part of our story.
