Everything changes

The weather changes. The height of the weeds, the vegetation, the shapes of clouds.

Cloud shapes. Rains in the night, night rain.

Night rain, each child is taller every year, teeth fall out, teeth rain.

A rain of teeth, new thoughts in their heads, "I'm going to marry him!" Stretching, growing.

Growing and this coffee tastes different than the day before, the kitchen is cluttered with all our long limbs.

There is a large fence between me and my neighbors, it was not here the year before.

Everything changes, the tree is bigger, I am smaller beside it, I am smaller and smaller, each year.

Each year the moon finds a different spot above me, my feet spread differently, I lean in a different direction.

Direction spins, cloud shapes above me, the stars are different on this side of the world.
