Week of Beauty: Feet

I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed and uncovering some of the negativity I walk around with. (Instead of joy, delight, fun.)

So I'm declaring this week a Week of Beauty, posting a single beautiful thing each day.

It might seem strange to have a huge photo of my feet as my first post in the Week of Beauty, but really, adorning your feet is a very satisfying thing. We take our feet for granted. Surely they should get a break now and then? Especially if they are in flip-flops all the live long day, trodding through dust and sand.

My friend Chrys did a beautiful mendhi job on my feet and then I just could not. Stop. Staring at them.

Beautiful.

Would you like to play along?

Gorgeous and a much-needed antidote to today's Academy Awards red-carpet hype.

I'll tell you a secret...

I pick at my toenails and bite my fingernails. Ugh. I know. You shall be my inspiration.

P.S. I would love to hear Yaya's opinion about beauty. Just for the fun of it.

That is just so beautiful. I would stare at them too! Can't play along but will certainly follow you all playing.

I love your feet. How great to have a resident henna artist. I still have her business card in my wallet. :)
A week of beauty..... What a lovely idea.
And, by the way, I just signed up for 750 words. Thanks for the tip on that.

So pretty! One of the things I must do! I have been humming a hawing for years and should just find somewhere that does that, and do it!

I once had my hands henna'd and I loved the entire experience. The wonder of seeing what the woman created and then the joy of being able to appreciate her work in the days that followed.. Must do again.
